Overview of the Shut-off Gauge
Electronic shutoff gauges watch values such as temperature, pressure, fuel level, or voltage. When the reading reaches the configured threshold, a relay contact operates so the engine protection system can stop the engine and limit further damage. A stepper-driven pointer gives the operator a live analogue reading. LED warnings flag the condition before or as the cut-off occurs.
