Mechanical Speed Gauges

Accurately monitor vehicle speed with durable Mechanical Speedometers engineered for reliable performance across automotive, off-highway, and industrial applications.

Mechanical Speed Gauges
Overview

Overview of the Mechanical Speed Gauges

A speedometer shows instantaneous wheel/vehicle speed in km/h or mph so the driver can stay within limits. An odometer records total distance in kilometres or miles. A trip odometer records a resettable journey distance-for example a day’s run or distance since fill-up. Speed and distance often share one case and one cable input from the gearbox, but they are two functions: a mechanical speedometer with odometer, or a mechanical speedometer with odometer and trip odometer. The instruments need no electronic sender interface. The dial is easy to read. If a unit fails, replacement is typically a single gauge rather than a full instrument cluster.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

A mechanical speedometer from Indication Instruments (Veethree) is a cable-driven analogue speed gauge. It shows wheel/vehicle speed without electrical power.

The same case also records total distance travelled.

It adds a resettable trip distance as well as total odometer and speed.

No. Drive is from the gearbox through a flexible speedometer cable.

Common outside diameters are 60 mm, 80 mm, 85 mm, 100 mm, and 140 mm.
