EV Coolant Level Switches

EV coolant level switch using reed-switch technology for coolant level monitoring in electric vehicles. Features a brass threaded vertical-mount construction, IP67 protection, and reliable operation across a wide temperature range

EV Coolant Level Switches
Overview

Overview of the EV Coolant Level Switches

EV Coolant Level Switches monitor coolant in the reservoir so battery and power-electronics cooling loops are not run dry. Indication Instruments reed-switch units give a discrete level indication rather than a continuous analogue sender. Brass construction and IP67 sealing suit moisture, vibration, and temperature swings typical of EV packs and front-end modules. Compact threaded or vertical mounts fit modern coolant bottles. Indication Instruments supplies coolant level switches by contact style and mount:

Types

Types of EV Coolant Level Switches Offered

Indication Instruments supplies coolant level switches by contact style and mount:
The same reed-switch platform family is used on Indication Instruments engine oil level switches; EV parts are specified for coolant / thermal-management duty.
  1. 01

Normally Open (NO) coolant level switches - change state as coolant level in the reservoir changes.

  2. 02

Reed switch coolant sensors - hermetically sealed reed mechanism for repeatable indication.

  3. 03

Threaded type - screws into the EV coolant tank port.

  4. 04

Vertical mounted - for compact reservoirs where a vertical probe is required.
