Mechanical Temperature Gauges

Mechanical temperature gauge with high accuracy, heavy-duty construction, and flexible capillary options

Mechanical Temperature Gauges
Overview

Overview of the Mechanical Temperature Gauges

A mechanical temperature gauge monitors internal-combustion engine temperature so operators can see overheating risk before damage occurs. The dial is easy to read. Single-piece capillary construction installs without a power harness. The capillary must be routed clear of sharp edges and high-heat surfaces. Switch gauges add a contact for a warning or protection circuit at a set temperature. Indication Instruments supplies analog temperature gauges by application:

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

A mechanical temperature gauge from Indication Instruments (Veethree) is an analog engine temperature gauge that uses a xylene-filled capillary and Bourdon movement. It does not need electrical power.

Water temperature gauges (typically 40°C-120°C), oil temperature gauges (typically 50°C-150°C), air cooled engine temperature gauges (typically 80°C-200°C), and switch gauges.

The 0.1 mm-bore xylene fill is specified for a linear scale across the operating range.

Route it away from sharp edges and high-temperature surfaces. The multi-strand stainless steel sheath is designed to resist field damage.

No. They are self-operating analog temperature gauges.
