DEF quality level sensor with optical sensing technology, CAN J1939 output, and high-precision urea concentration measurement

DEF Quality Level Sensor
Overview

Overview of the DEF Quality Level Sensor

DEF Quality Sensors are SCR sensors that check whether the fluid in the tank is genuine DEF at a usable concentration-not water, diluted fluid, or an out-of-spec mix. That supports emission compliance and stable NOx reduction. Indication Instruments optical units measure concentration and temperature continuously. Response is specified as fast, with temperature-compensated measurement. Configurations include CAN SAE J1939 output so the sensor can sit on the vehicle network as a CAN J1939 DEF sensor.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

DEF Quality Sensors from Indication Instruments (Veethree) are optical AdBlue Quality Sensors / UREA Quality Sensors that measure Diesel Exhaust Fluid concentration and temperature for SCR systems.

A level sensor reports how much fluid is in the tank. A DEF concentration sensor reports whether that fluid is in-spec DEF.

0 to 62.5% urea at 0.25% resolution, temperature compensated.

Yes. CAN SAE J1939 output is specified so they can operate as CAN J1939 DEF Sensors.

Inline, tank, and level-sensor mount.
