Overview of the Aircore Gauges
Air cored gauges work by electromagnetism: a cross-coil moving magnet drives the pointer with no mechanical cable link. Pointer travel stays free of cable wear, which suits continuous duty in harsh conditions. They are easy to read, draw modest current, and can be matched to many sender resistance curves used worldwide. That makes one air cored / cross coil gauge family usable across fuel, temperature, pressure, and voltage applications.
