Overview of Mechanical Pressure Gauge

Mechanical pressure gauges have been used for a very long time for monitoring engine oil pressure, air brake cyclinder pressure, manifold intake pressure, etc. Switch gauges are also being used to shut down engines automatically when pressure falls.

They don’t need power to operate, and are very simple in operation as they don’t require any complicated connections or interface with any sensors.

The dial readout makes them very easy to read, and aesthetically their styling is beautiful and timeless. One of their biggest advantages is their serviceability; in the rare chance that a gauge fails, it is inexpensive to replace it as compared to the cost of replacing a modern day instrument cluster.

Types of mechanical Pressure Gauges Offered

Indication Instruments offers a comprehensive range of mechanical pressure gauges designed to suit diverse applications and operating conditions.

The gauges come in varying pressure ranges, with max pressure reading ranging from 1 bar to 28 bar. They can measure air pressure or oil pressure. In case of air pressure, a small snubber is inserted in the spindle to smooth out the pressure fluctuations.

The gauges come in multiple casing sizes, the common diameters are available in outside diameters of 52mm, 60mm and 66mm; while the dual pressure gauges, which combine two gauges into one casing and save valuable real estate space, are enclosed in 52mm, 60mm and 80mm casings.

There are many options of available for end fitment of the spindle, i.e. M10, M12, 1/8” NPT, 1/8” BSP, 3/8” UNF and ¼” NPT.For front styling, we offer a large range of dials, pointer and even bezels.
